Naturally Curious's video: 37 My First Perm Rod Set Natural Hair

Hey guys! So this is my first time trying out perm rods. This is not a tutorial - This is a Style Trial for my Hair Diary :) Please click "Show More" for more info! I was inspired to try this out on my own hair after watching MakeupanBeautyJunkie's "Big Soft Bouncy Spiral Curls" video. Her perm rod set is the bomb! Check out her video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ljp0plTo1Y More pictures of this style, along with details about my overall first time experience with trying a perm rod set is posted on my blog here: http://www.iamnaturallycurious.com/2013/03/style-diary-my-first-perm-rod-set.html HOW I MAINTAIN MY PERM ROD SETS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo82OJUW7QI STYLE DETAILS: --- I used about 30 jumbo perm rods (teal / green color) and about 30 medium perm rods (pink color). --- I did this on dry hair that was already stretched from bunning. --- I used Oyin Hair Dew to moisturize and Blue Eco Styler to set the style. This dampened my hair a bit. --- I kept in the perm rods overnight and let it air dry. These were uncomfortable to sleep in!!! I will never do that to myself again, lol. --- My roots in some sections were still puffy. But once I separated the curls and fluffed, the puffy roots were not as noticeable. --- To preserve this style overnight, I used a stretchy hair band to put my hair into a very loose pineapple.
