Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat - A Perfect Campfire & Sunset in Winters 🔥🔥🔥❄❄🌊🤩🥳😘🥰🏂❄☃️ Fairy Meadows are picturesque alpine pastures surrounded by pine forest on the Northern slopes of Nanga Parbat. With breathtaking views of snow-clad mountains, the meadows are 19 kilometres from the Raikot bridge. About 10 kilometres from the Raikot bridge towards Gilgit visitors can see the massive bulk of Nanga Parbat. Ahead is a clear view of the triangular point of Rakaposhi and Dumani. Nanga Parbat at 8,126 m is the ninth tallest mountain in the world, but it is one of the most alluring for both mountain climbers and scientists. Located in northern Pakistan, the "Killer Mountain" is the westernmost of the eight-thousanders. Despite being geographically close to the Karakoram, it actually represents the westernmost part of the Himalayan range. Meaning “naked mountain” in Urdu, Nanga Parbat is a reference to the generally snow-free south face. Known as the Rupal face, this is the world’s largest rock wall, rising some 4,700 meters (15,000 feet) from its base to the summit. The other faces—the Rakhiot face and the western Diamir—are also extreme. In the image above, the Rakhiot face is in shadow to the north, the Diamer face is to the east, and the Rupal face is to the south. To reach Fairy Meadows, you will have to take a jeep from Raikot Bridge. The track leading to Tattu villlage gets quite narrow after a while, making it the world's second deadliest road. After a challenging drive for two hours the jeep track will end around a km aboutahead of Tattu village and from there on, one will have to trek for 5 to 7 km to reach this fairy land.
