Baby Piña II, undaunted by premature harvesting, caused perhaps by an animal breaking her off her stalk before reaching her full size, she's ripe now and ready to be...well, eaten. She's the 2nd fruit this plant has borne over the course of 10+ years and after thousands of hours in natural summer light and artificial winter lighting. She consumed countless watts of electricity. Between Baby Piña I and II they have probably cost me $700 each; but that's a small price compared to having to have sent them to college and I, after all, get to savor their sweetness in the end (bittersweet as it may be). Bwahahaha!
