They share a talent for making music and a passion for changing the world. Nelly, Demi, Joe and Kardinal took their own incredible journeys to Kenya to help build schools and learn more about development issues with Me to We. As different as each of their experiences were, they each came back inspired to take action in their own ways. Nelly's trip to Kenya impacted her in such a way that it inspired many songs on her album Spirit Indestructible. "It's interesting for me how many different components of my life and stuff that's happened with [Free The Children] or that's happened with We Day ended up on my album," she says. "The song "Miracles" is very much about getting swept away in a feeling and overwhelmed." Upon arriving home, Nelly, Demi, Joe and Kardinal have enthusiastically taken on their own fundraising initiatives and continue spread messages of change as Free The Children and Me to We ambassadors. Marc Kielburger, co-founder of Free The Children and Me to We explains, "Whether you're a celebrity or not, giving back to people who need it most is an incredible feeling—whether it is travelling and volunteering oversees, or supporting your community and giving food to your local food bank. Everyone has an opportunity to make a difference and get involved."
