@New Canaan Library Presents: Artscapades: Surrealism From Reality to Imagination

Monday, October 18th at 7pm EST. In this lecture, ArtScapades will explore the lives and works of four artists who tapped the unconscious mind in an attempt to link the realm of dreams and fantasy to the everyday world. ArtScapades will look at Joan Miró, René Magritte, Salvador Dalí and Dorothea Tanning. Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman, of ArtScapades, began teaching art appreciation in 1998. They have presented at libraries and museums in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Florida, and have been lecturing at New Canaan Library since 2010.
