@New Canaan Library Presents: Green Energy Financing with The Connecticut Green Bank’s C-PACE Program
Come learn about the Connecticut Green Bank’s C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) Program to help benefit your business or organization! The Connecticut Green Bank is the nation’s first green bank and is creating a thriving marketplace to accelerate green energy adoption in Connecticut by making green energy financing accessible and affordable for homeowners, businesses and institutions. Building owners can use the Green Bank’s C-PACE financing to lower energy bills and improve their bottom line. Financing can be used for a wide array of energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements, such as solar, lighting, and heating/cooling equipment. Nicholas Zuba is an energy efficiency and environmental policy professional with more than a decade of experience working on environmental sustainability efforts in different communities in the Northeastern United States, specializing in deploying Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing for property owners to make energy-saving improvements. Presently, Nicholas works with the Connecticut Green Bank as a Senior Manager on the Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Programs team, serving as the Program Manager of C-PACE. For nearly five years, he has managed the program’s daily operations and develops projects to provide financing for energy-saving improvements in commercial and industrial buildings in the state of Connecticut. In addition, for the last year and a half, he has served as an advisor to IncentiFind, a Houston, TX-based start-up company that manages the nation’s largest energy efficiency incentive database. Nicholas previously worked for Town of Babylon Government in Long Island, NY for over six years. In 2011, he became an administrator of the town’s Long Island Green Homes Program, one of the first operational residential PACE programs in the country that provides homeowners with financing to reduce their energy usage. He expanded the program’s outreach efforts and refined its policies, increasing demand for Green Homes’ services. Nicholas earned his Master of Public Administration degree from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA) at Cornell University in 2015, focusing on environmental sustainability program design and management. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Ithaca College in 2006.
