New Canaan Library's video: NCL Presents: Yale Science Communication: A Gut Feeling Microbes and Their Outsized Impact

Do microbes make the best flavorings? Is your poop the key to curing diseases? Do we have free will, or are we just controlled by the microbes that live inside of us? Within each of us, there is an entire world of bacteria and other microorganisms, the consequences of which we are only now beginning to understand. In this talk, Yale Science Communication will discuss some of the ways these microbes impact our daily lives and may lead to new breakthroughs, from the food we eat to potential brain-altering effects. YSC (formerly Yale Science Diplomats) began in 2007, when a group of graduate students founded a “Scientists and Engineers of America” (SEA) chapter at Yale, which has since become the Yale Science Communication.
