New Canaan Library's video: New Canaan Library Presents: Book Chat Thursday

On November 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Let’s Welcome Dr. Bryan Luizzi, Superintendent of New Canaan Public Schools to this month’s Book Chat Thursday. Ever wonder what superintendents enjoy reading? Dr. Luizzi will join us to discuss his favorite books and why you may enjoy reading them too. He is a former high school English teacher, so get ready for some great suggestions and discussions. Dr. Luizzi is a graduate of Clemson University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education, he also holds a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Western Connecticut State University and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Columbia University where he was awarded the Carroll F. Johnson Award. Dr. Luizzi has taught in numerous educational positions and CT towns: English Teacher at Newtown High School and Manager of Technology Operations; Dean of Students at Litchfield High School; Assistant Principal and Principal of Brookfield High Schools. He was named the Superintendent of Schools for the New Canaan Public Schools in2014 after serving as the Principal of New Canaan High School for three years.
