Toddler Lucky To Be Alive After Falling From Moving Car On Busy Road. A toddler is lucky to be alive after she fell from a moving car on a busy road. The two-year-old girl was still strapped into her booster seat when she toppled out of the vehicle in Minnesota, USA. Unaware of what had just happened, her parents then drove off as she lay in the middle of the street. Luckily, a motorist following behind the parents' car stopped in time and came to the youngster's rescue. Driver Chad Mock's dash cam caught the scary moment the door flung open and the girl tumbled to the ground below. The black car seat landed on its side with the girl, wearing a pink coat, trapped inside close to the centre of the road. Chad can be seen in the footage waving his arms to warn a car approaching of the imminent danger, before going up to the girl to reassure her. He is joined by a woman and another man, while the girl's parents drive off in the distance. Chad later shared the video online saying: "If it didn't happen in front of me I'd never have believed it. "The child was ok. The parents came back. Paramedics and police checked the child out as well. Very lucky." Local police released a statement and said officers were dispatched to a report of a child in the road on Minnesota Street at 11.45am on Monday, Newsweek reports. A City of Mankato Police spokesperson said: “A two-year-old child had fallen out from the rear driver's side of the vehicle driven by the child's mother. “The child was examined by public safety and ambulance staff and found not to be injured. “A motorist with video footage reported the incident to public safety. "The child was properly fastened inside the safety seat; however, the child safety seat was not fastened to the vehicle seat. “Charges of child endangerment and child restraint system not fastened are being requested.”
