Aliwagwag Falls (Cateel) - peak water flow On the way back from Enchanted River we visited Aliwagwag Falls near Cateel, Davao Oriental. It is considered as the highest waterfalls in Philippines. It is a series of 84 falls appearing like stairway to heaven. Overall Aliwagwag Falls has a height of 340 metres (1,120 ft) and a width of 20 metres (66 ft). Our trip was in peak rainy season and during week prior our visit it was raining more than I ever experienced here in Mindanao, so the water flow was really huge. There were even floods and landslides in Davao Oriental in that time (we visited Falls on January 26). I saw some pictures how the Falls looks normally and it's totally different.
