Phil Brooks talks about Christopher Benoit. interview by Colt Cabana (Scott Colton) for Art of Wrestling A lot of people like blowing all the seemingly negative stories about Benoit out of proportions these days. For example, Ken Anderson told a story of how Benoit told him that they used to inject a disabled kid with steroids back in the day, and now many people think it was Benoit doing it even though Anderson never implied that, Benoit just simply told him about something that was going on back in the day. Then there is the thing with The Miz (Mike Mizanin) who got kicked out of the locker room, if someone would eat fried chicken over their bags in an environment like that they would be pissed as well. A lot of people who worked with Chris Benoit said he was one of the hardest working and most helpful guys but because there were a few incidents that are either misinterpreted or actually quite relatable people who never knew him act as if he was always a bad guy. Granted, wrestling fans who praise Benoit's personal side, except for what happened during the final days, didn't knew him personally either but the effects of that are a lot less negative.
