This is a simple cross on ground Aluminum sheet. It was lightly airbrushed with a deep blue to give a bit of depth to it. The video shows how the viewing angle can change the brightness of the "rays" behind the cross. The glossiness comes from a coat of clear resin which protects the aluminum, and gives it a beautiful finished look. (also: the home made contraption I use to make the camera orbit the piece is...not as stable as I'd like. It's on the list of things to fix)
