Though most deaths are faced by those over 65, young people can get this thing too. When overwhelmed, hospital systems can be forced to make tough decisions. And Italy, as well as America it seems, from a recent CDC report, sees young people suffer higher than normal numbers too. And it's only just beginning in America. When hospital systems are overwhelmed, they see higher than usual rates of death, as essential devices and care, like ventilation, becomes scarce. Young people in particular seem to not care. Memes being shared on the internet were comparing the numbers to other things like poverty and the flu. Hence me making this video. You not only put at risk over half of all Americans who are at higher risk due to things like hypertension, diabetes, lung disease and cancer (who could be any age), you're putting yourself at risk too. If we socially distance, we can and reduce the burden faced by hospitals. These numbers could be skewed, but it could be the norm as well. And the sad thing, as I point out, is that many may not even get treatment if we get to the stage that Italy (and even Spain now - their mortality rate and total cases is mimicking Italy's) is.
