Actress Reyhna Pandit, who was last seen as a witch in Manmohini, is replacing Shikha Singh as Aliya in Kumkum Bhagya. Shikha recently gave birth to a baby boy and has decided to quit the show. In an exclusive chat with India Today Television, Reyhna said that she will take some time to understand her character. "I am trying to understand Aliya's character. You need some time to get into a character. When I got a call, I watched a few episodes of Kumkum Bhagya. Shikha had her own way of portraying a character, while I have my own. Currently, I am still in the process of getting into the character," said Reyhna. Reyhna is a bit apprehensive as she is joining the show midway and has no idea if the viewers will accept her or not. "Shikha was a part of the show since its beginning. So, I don't know if people will accept me as Aliya or not. I am a bit nervous as I am replacing someone in an ongoing show. However, I will give my 100 per cent and hope people like me," added Reyhna. The Ishqbaaz actress feels Manmohini's Mohini and Aliya are somewhat similar. "Mohini was not a completely negative character. She had emotional shades too. She loved Rana Sa but she got aggressive in trying to get her love. Even Aliya has aggressive emotion. She loves her brother Abhi but doesn't want Abhi and Pragya to unite. I won't say she is completely negative as she even loves Riya, who is Abhi and Pragya's daughter." Naina Singh, who played Riya, another actress part of Kumkum Bhagya has also quit the show. According to reports, actress Pooja Banerjee of Kasautii Zindagii fame will be replacing her on the show.
