An old short cartoon. Probably from the early 1930s. (20 minutes after uploading.... I realize this has been posted at least 7 times by others....and I dont care har har har ! xx ) More info below.... Here Popeye Doyle teaches us, not only the importance of eating our spinach, but the entire lyrical content of this well known song. Its fun if youre stoned and/or drinking. Its fun if youre completely sober and just looking for something fun and random. And....what I find amusing is...Popeye looks so much like my Grandfather...that is,,,,,if Popeye was 6 foot 4 and more muscular. Hehe! SPINACH RECIPE (from granny!♥) Use canned spinach (she actually used Popeye brand at times. (Popeye is a brand here in the states) First saute onion (as much or as little as you prefer) in olive oil,,,,yes "Olive Oyl" har har!) until onion is transparent like. DRAIN the spinach of as much liquid as possible add spinach to pan add salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar- yes- sugar. Cook for about 15 mins. Depending on how you like it. Or cook until liquids are basically evaporated from pan (do not burn) Serve with cornbread or whatever..... Hope the vid makes you smile. I used to skip school to watch Popeye when I was a kid. Especially if the bus ride started out as a bullying session. Id stop the driver and get off and walk the fk home and watch Popeye in the mornings....true story! Have fun & thanks for watching.
