NoRosesForMe's video: Esther Bigeou St Louis Blues

Recorded around 1921 to 1923. Ms. Bigeou was from Louisiana and I think she gave this old standard a unique sound. Although this was not yet a standard when she sang/recorded it. As far s I know Esther recorded this before Bessie Smith recorded it. (although I adore Bessie -as we all do!)
