Day 5 in Tbilisi, Georgia! Tbilisi Railway (Subway) Experience | Tbilisi Georgia (Country) I said goodbye to my two Italian roommates. And headed over to the Tbilisi reservoir with Jonathan from France. Jonathan is also my roommate in my hostel. He invited me to Tbilisi Lake for the last tour before going to Armenia at 8:20PM on that the same day. From Freedom Square, we took the Metro Rail to Varkitili. I was so amazed by their escalator in the subway because it's so long and deep! It took us more than two minutes going down. We reached Varkitili and looked for bus number 9 that will take us to the Tbilisi sea, but unfortunately, there was no bus number 9 out there. About Tbilisi reservoir is also known as the Tbilisi sea. The Tbilisi sea (Georgian: თბილისის ზღვა) or Tbilisi reservoir (თბილისის წყალსაცავი) is an artificial lake in the vicinity of Tbilisi that serves as a reservoir. The lake has a length of 8.75 km and a width of 2.85 km. It was opened in 1953 and has become a popular recreation spot.
