Nordic RC Visions's video: Tamiya Tuesdays: SPEED TEST Tamiya DF-02 Rising Storm 2004 LRP Electronics Full GPM Hop-Ups

@Tamiya Tuesdays: SPEED TEST! Tamiya DF-02 Rising Storm 2004 LRP Electronics & Full GPM Hop-Ups!
First outing and speed test of my Tamiya Rising Storm 1/10 4WD Buggy 2004 with the full hop-up alloy selection from GPM Racing, available back in the days. One-take, no music, no editing, no slow motion, one-handed driving, short and simple and in 4K 60fps. It's Tuesday! 33 kph equals approx. 21 mph. If you want to know more about this buggy, a companion video is up on the second channel today. For speed testing my RC cars I use the SkyRC Speedometers which were kindly provided by Banggood, free for review and tests. You can check out the specifications and current prices with these (affiliate) links: SkyRC GSM-015: https://www.banggood.com/SKYRC-GSM-015-GNSS-GPS-Speed-Meter-High-Precision-for-RC-Drone-p-1484506.html?utm_campaign=14782311&utm_content=10896&p=0V012014782311201710 SkyRC GSM-020 Speed Meter: https://www.banggood.com/SKYRC-GSM020-GNSS-Performance-Analyzer-Power-Bluetooth-APP-GPS-Speed-Meter-for-RC-Car-Helicopter-p-1631247.html?utm_campaign=14782311&utm_content=10896&p=0V012014782311201710 Thank you for watching! Happy Hobby Days and Keep 'em Running! See you soon! ---------------------- Been restoring and changing some parts on a couple of Tamiya DF-02 Buggies this winter. A stock RTR Tamiya DF-02 Gravel Hound XB and my old Tamiya DF-02 Rising Storm kit, with GPM Racing and LRP electronics. This one has an un specified brushed motor from LRP, pulled off one of the old Twister Line of buggies. All the other electronics are also LRP and other than that it has the 67T high speed spur gear, a 22T steel pinion and the full set of GPM Racing Upgrades. It was re-build for pure nostalgic reasons and is now semi-retired. Old and heavy and slow. I love it. It was one of my first Tamiya buggies when returning to the hobby as an adult. Over the years it has been through different bodies and many changes, including different hop-up set-ups, brushless motors and gear ratios. It is now returned, apart from the motor, ESC and gear ratio, to one of its original set-ups with the full GPM alloy upgrades. The other more sensible upgrades (brushless motors, Tamiya alloy DF-03 shocks, DF-02 turnbuckles and universal axles etc.) will be utilized in other Tamiya and DF-02 and TT-02B projects. Besides these two DF-02's, I got two more to come. ----------------------------------------------- Statement: This video features homemade footage of my own from my personal collection.
