@Tamiya Gravel Hound - From XB to Kit! | Tamiya DF-02 Collection Test Run Part 1
First GPS Speed Test, Comparison and Test Run of my 2023 Tamiya DF-02 RC Car Collection (or Madness?). Here's my 2004 Tamiya Gravel Hound XB, changed from an Expert Built 57723 to an Assembly Kit 58328. And well, a slight modernization of the electronics. Coming up: A couple of upgraded Rising Storms and an Aero Avante. Brushless and brushed. More info and specifications below! Thank you for watching! Happy Hobby Days and Keep 'em Running! See you soon! ---------------------- Not much of a difference from last year, but all I wanted to do was simply to upgrade the XB specifications to the kit specs: adding the CVA oil filled shocks and adjustable turn-buckles for the steering (which will give a slightly better dampening and grip and allow me to adjust the toe in/out in the front). Also wanted to add a 2.4 Ghz radio system, which meant I had to get another ESC with a BEC (The stock XB from 2004, the TEU-01BK, doesn't have a BEC). Since I had a complete LRP system lying around that is what I opted for. Seems like the standard LRP motor, unexpectedly, added a tiny bit of extra top speed.
