The Jacobetti Complex features more than 40 specialized laboratories and classrooms. Students learn skills in mechanical and electrical engineering, automotive repair, construction management, building technology, electronics, industrial technology and skilled trades such as HVAC, welding, industrial maintenance and computer numerical control (CNC). Through a state funded project, Northern Michigan University (NMU) is renovating approximately 113,000 square feet of lab, classroom and public space into a vibrant, modern high-tech teaching facility for future engineers and technical career professionals. Northern Michigan University is a publicly-funded institution located in Marquette, Michigan. NMU has approximately 8,000 students who have the option to major in over 170 academic programs.
