Mississippi’s National Guard is helping distribute water to the residents of Jackson. Almost 600 members have handed out water to more than 120,000 vehicles at 4 sites around the city since September 1. They have been distributing both clean bottled water, as well as non-potable water. Jackson is in the midst of a water crisis after severe flooding took out one of the city’s water treatment plants.
