NowThis Earth's video: Tiger Shark Feeding Frenzy Caught on Camera in Australia

Rangers with the Queensland Department of Environment and Science (DES) in Australia captured an estimated 50 tiger sharks going into a feeding frenzy on a dead whale. The DES used the video as a reminder for people to stay away from dead marine mammals. ‘Where there are dead whales, there are likely sharks nearby and this vision clearly shows why this is the case,’ Senior Ranger Daniel Clifton told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. ‘The death of one whale, although sad, creates a life source for many other scavenging animals, including fish, sharks, and other marine life.’ This whale reportedly died of natural causes and will be left in the ocean for nature to take its course.
