NowThis Earth's video: Climate Activists Protest Dumping of Raw Sewage Into UK Waterways

Swimmers, kayakers, surfers, and paddlers in the UK are protesting the discharge of sewage into seas and rivers. The organizing group, Surfers Against Sewage, says that the pollution is causing people to get sick. ‘We've seen over the last year 720 or more sickness case studies where people have got sick when they've gone in the sea from this sewage pollution. We've seen cases of vomiting, diarrhea, UTIs, ear infections, eye infections,’ said Izzy Ross, the Surfers Against Sewage campaign manager. ‘It's disgusting, and we don't deserve that sort of exposure when we're in the sea.
