Tal como en los setentas existió en Perú el grupo EL POLEN, en Chile el grupo LOS JAIVAS, en Argentina el grupo ARCO IRIS, en Uruguay el grupo EL QUINTO... en Colombia era el grupo GÉNE-SIS (liderado por el recordado Humberto Monroy). Todos estos grupos de rock plasmaron en su arte ese aire latinoamericanista de esos años. Y GÉNE-SIS no fue la excepción. Del disco "Paso de los Andes" de 1981.
