OCUBOX's video: Aeron Chair Gas Cylinder Repair vs Buying the Latest version from Herman Miller

After watching the new updated design of this Classic Herman Miller Aeron chair. I finally decided to order the new gas cylinder and do the repair myself. It was very noisy and took a while to remove the old gas cylinder. Which is what after watching videos and reading comments about how tough it was... I didn’t want to deal with. XD So I was eyeing the new version, which was around £1000 vs less the than £100 for the new cylinder and cushion/foam in the front part of the seat, I would have to spend. Plus of course, the time it will takes (using inappropriate tools) to hammer the old gas cylinder out! Well, I never gave up the almost 2 hours of LOUD (ringing) ear splitting, hand splitting, hammering... ON a Sunday while everywhere else around was SUPER quiet... It was VERY satisfying though, when that old beat up gas cylinder popped out. If you’re going to do the same, find a wrench and a vice. Or keep hammering in the opposite direction of the wheels when set down. Or get the NEW Aeron chair. With its tighter design. Recycling the old or sell it to someone who would not mind going through the motions. This chair is over 20 years old, so they last & last!
