OIAC Organization of Iranian American Communities's video: 2025 Free Iran Rally - Washington DC March 8 2025

On Saturday, March 8, 2024, thousands of Iranian Americans and concerned citizens will participate in a rally in Washington, DC to support the Iranian people’s demand for a republic, multi-party and non0nuclear Iran, and to commemorate the International Women’s Day and express support for the women of Iran who have been fighting for freedom from medieval dictatorship which has terrorized Iranian people for more than 4 decades. The overthrew of the Assad regime in Syria (which was itself supported by Iran) has reinvigorated the Iranian resistance’s 4 decades long argument that people can and must rise-up to overthrew despotic rulers. For more than 4 decades women have been at the forefront of this very struggle for freedom in Iran. This leadership and sacrifice became more visible for the international community during the 2022 nationwide Iran uprising.Iranian regime has executed nearly 1000 people in 2024, many of whom were women. The rally in Washington, DC will call on policymakers to recognize the Iranian people’s struggle from democratic regime change in Iran and hold its leaders accountable for crimes against humanity.
