It all started with a couple asking themselves a simple question: how would vulnerable or homeless people face the pandemic? They shared this worry with a friend of theirs who often volunteered, and quickly came up with the idea to cook some extra meals in their home and distribute them among those who were in need. They involved their neighbors and friends in their new project and started with 60 daily meals. Today, Convidarte (in English, “to share with you”) is a network of over 4,000 volunteers -even entire families- who cook in their homes and distribute 6,800 daily meals to 30 shelters.
