After the successful launch of the original HAPI drum, work began on a larger drum with more notes and sonic capabilities. A steel tongue drum that would offer even more musical possibilities. It all started with designing a new mold that would provide more surface area for notes while barely increasing the weight. Once the mold was finished, the experimentation process took about a year with different note layouts and scale arrangements. The patent pending note layout is a fine tuned arrangement so that the best harmonics, ease of play, and sound are all realized together. We think you will agree that the sound is out of this world!
