Solar flares are sudden, intense brightening of the solar atmosphere that result in heightened emissions spanning the entire electromagnetic spectrum, encompassing radio, optical, ultraviolet, soft X-rays, hard X-rays, and gamma-rays. The HEL1OS X-ray spectrometer, commissioned on October 27, 2023, is presently in the process of fine-tuning its thresholds and calibration operations.
