He performed in the New England area, but he decided to re-locate to New York City. There, he landed the part of Claude in the Broadway music "Hair" in the late 1960's. But his claim to fame was "Lay A Little Lovin' On Me" which charted at # 11 in 1970. This is the follow-up to that big hit, but it only made it to # 80. Both records featured the cast of "Hair" as backing vocals. But a couple more singles were met with no success and he moved to Florida. Over the years, he's remained in the music business, writing songs, owning his own publishing company and partnering as an owner of a music studio.
