Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery (gompa) in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh. However, the most interesting part of today's video is a journey to Siachen base camp. Siachen is the deadliest and highest battlefield in the world. Nubra to Siachen distance is around 135KM and almost took 4.5 hrs to reach. If you want to visit Siachen, take prior permission from Delhi or need to take permission on the way from the checkpost near sasosma village.
