The measure, joint-authored by Assemblymember David Chiu (D-San Francisco), Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego), and Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) sets aside resources to help counties update their ballot voting systems to ensure security and transparency in elections.
