SACRAMENTO – (Tues., May 7, 2019) – California State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego) today celebrated a major legislative victory as Gov. Gavin Newsom announced her long fought for legislation to make children’s diapers exempt from the state sales tax would be included in his May update to the proposed state budget, which is scheduled to be unveiled on Thursday.
