SACRAMENTO – (Thurs., March 21, 2019) -- Today in the state Capitol, Modern Family star Julie Bowen met with California State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego) to discuss Gonzalez’s Assembly Bill 66, which would make children’s diapers exempt from the California sales tax. Julie Bowen is a Board Member for AB 66 supporters Baby2Baby, a non-profit that provides children living in poverty with diapers, clothing and all the basic essentials that every child deserves. On Thursday following the meeting with Assemblywoman Gonzalez, Bowen and Baby2Baby Co-President Norah Weinstein visited the offices of key lawmakers and Gov. Gavin Newsom to advocate for AB 66.
