(SACRAMENTO) -- Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D - San Diego) is jointly authoring legislation that would begin the process of restoring the right to vote for Californians on parole. On Monday, lawmakers launched a campaign for the Act, or ACA 6. The bill is the first step to putting California in line with 14 other states that have restored voting rights to formerly incarcerated parolees.
