Old School RetroCast's video: Home Video 1993 For Gina Jordan

June 1993 - Baby Jordan with his mom, dad & Uncle Marc. Important Note To Jordan: Nana (Joann) was so very proud to be your grandmother (this video was made before she was re-named "Nana.") Your mom was a wonderful and loving mom to you when you were born/little - and she wanted to have this video made special for Nana. Unfortunately, by the time this videotape was found last year and I was able to figure out how to transfer it from VHS to the computer, Nana was no longer cognizant and in final stages of Alzheimer's - Sadly, I wished I had acted sooner when receiving the tape so she could have seen it - It makes me sad that Nana never got to see this beautiful video made for her by Uncle Marc, Gina and your dad, Steve. Anyhow, I wanted you and your mom to have this video. I did my best to make it as clear as possible and hope the editing doesn't look too bad. (I'm a 70s/80s kid and still think Atari game system is cool.) I still don't even know what the heck, "Snapchat" is. Well - Be sure both your dads, Steve & Michael and your sisters and fianc'ee get to see it as well with the link I have provided, so that all of you can download it into your phones and computers to save forever if you so desire. If I find anymore photos or video recordings, I'll be sure to get those done for you when able to. Lastly, I hope you can look back on this precious moment (not as embarrassing) but to see what a wonderful and beautiful baby boy you were and what a great job parents were to help make you the great gentleman you have become today. I know Nana was very proud of you, for your service to this country (thank you from me too, by the way) and when her mind was still in good condition, she always enjoyed sharing the fun moments/little stories, that you and she had getting ice cream and going to matinee movies together. I know the two of you didn't have a whole lot of time together but please know her declining health was rather swift, both physically and cognitively in the past 15 years or so. So please know this, as a fact - Nana really loved you, just as she did your mom and the rest of us, please don't ever forget that. I say this not to make you sad, but you must know that Nana said your name a few days before her passing, with a smile on her face - she could barely speak by then and expressed that she really wanted to see you and your mom. I'm sorry it didn't work out that way. I know she is at peace watching you now from above (out there somewhere) and proud of all you've done so far. You have a great, long life to look forward to - In her youth, Nana was the go-getter type (when she was healthy and able) and do all she could to enjoy this short and sometimes cruel roller coaster of life. That's exactly what I see in your mom. So live your life without fear, do as much as you can, while you have that opportunity being so young and never forget how blessed you are - Have as much fun in this life as you can and pass that on to the next generation, your upcoming new family. Congratulations on your engagement, it's gonna be great and I know you're going to make a wonderful husband and father/grandfather. The most important thing in any relationship, as you already know is to trust each other, respect one another, honest communication and compromising with one another during the rough moments.
