Omnipod's video: Omnipod Testimonial - Ceili

Learn from Ceili about how the Omnipod System has helped her manage her diabetes. It definitely was a day that changed my life forever. Like your day-to-day, it's just a lot more things to think about. When I first got the Omnipod it was about to be cross-country season. I started to wear it and I would go to practice and I didn't have to worry about taking something off my arm. It was just very free to be able to move around and not have tubes pulling me back. It was really hard because with the tube and it's clipped on you; it flops around and it's like, “Well how am I going to run with this?” I would take it off and I would do my races. I'm waiting in the lines to get onto the track, by the time I was done racing, [my blood sugar would be in the] 400s and it just wouldn't make me feel good. [The pod is] really liberating being a girl, because skirts and dresses and all the things that. I can put it on the back of my arm, I can put it on my stomach. So, it's just easier to wear things and be able to just feel more comfortable in anything that I wanted. Switching to the Omnipod, it really helped me feel more comfortable and confident with Type 1. Making sure that I have the best way to get insulin and the safest, not disconnecting and everything. It really was the best decision for me, and it really has made my diabetes management so much better and easier. One word to describe my experience with Omnipod would be life changing. It's made everything easier [in] every aspect of Type 1. It makes it feel so much more manageable and free. If you were diabetes I would say, "You can't control me."
