On The Spur Of The Moment's video: A Peek Into Cali Colombia 2017

Last summer we visited Colombia and we were based in Bogota but made it a point to visit Cali for the day. We had limited time so we were able to only visit Cali for the day, just for a few hours. Cali is not a drivable distance from Bogota so the best way to visit was by flying there. We flew VivaColombia, which is a budget airline. On arriving in Cali we headed to La Ermita Church, which is really beautiful. Since it was quite early in the morning we found a restaurant and sat down for breakfast. It was a damn good breakfast and real cheap, too. The restaurant owner was so helpful that she actually left her restaurant unmanned and went out to get us a taxi to take us to Christo Rey. When we reached Christo Rey, the taxi driver offered to stay and take us back to town. Just as well he did that as, while we were there, no other taxis showed up. We would have had to walk all the way down. After Christo Rey we headed to the park. One side of the stream is the park for cats and the other side is for dogs. Basically, the parks are strewn with sculptures of cats and dogs; cats on one side of the stream and dogs on the other. That park has free Wi-Fi and it's the place where the locals hang out after work. A very lively place indeed.
