One Hundred Years of Cinema's video: 1927: Metropolis - How Cinema Changed the Way We See the Future

@1927: Metropolis - How Cinema Changed the Way We See the Future
In 1927 Fritz Lang released Metropolis, one of the most influential films in cinema history.Although it wasn't the first science fiction film, it changed the visual codes which film makers use to tell us about the future. For many years much of Metropolis was thought to be a lost film. before the film was archived it was cut down to around 91 minutes, and it would remain that way until an almost complete version of the film would be found in an archive in Argentina in 2008. Thanks for watching One Hundred Years of Cinema, I will be writing a video essay about at least one film each year from 1915 onward to track the evolution of film over the last century.
