ದೇಶ ವಿಭಜನೆ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ (partition of the country) ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಸಂಸದ (Bengaluru Rural MP) ಡಿಕೆ ಸುರೇಶ್ (DK Suresh) ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಇಡೀ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಾದ್ಯಂತ ಭಾರೀ ವಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ (central government) ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ (Karnataka) ಹಾಗೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಜೆಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಅಂತ ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದ ಡಿಕೆ ಸುರೇಶ್, ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದರು.
