Kinect 4 Unreal (K4U) allows you to use the Kinect 2 motion sensor and the accompanying Kinect 4 Windows API directly within Unreal Engine 4. Kinect tracking data is exposed via the Blueprint interface, allowing for the entire Kinect 4 Windows feature set to be utilised without a single line of code.
In this video, we will demonstrate just how easy it is to link Kinect 2 and Unreal Engine 4 with our plugin. We will explore the Introductory project we provide to get you acquainted with the plugin architecture - looking at the Blueprint logic behind each demonstration. These cover all of the basic tracking functionality Kinect 4 Windows provides, including:
- Joint Location
- Joint Rotation
- Joint Delta Position
- Audio Volume/Beam Angle
- Camera Frames (RGB, IR, Normalised Depth)
The Kinect 4 Unreal plugin is available for download at http://opaquemultimedia.com/pages/k4u/download.html
The Introduction project shown here can be downloaded from the same page, either standalone or bundled with the plugin pre-installed.
