Orbital Guitars's video: The Hybrid Body Chimera - Custom Guitar Build - Part 6: Staining Neck Applying Finish

This is the sixth episode in a 7 part series on the making of this custom guitar. This is a design that I have named the Chimera, and it is entirely my own design. I decided to try some new things with this build such as creating a hybrid 2-piece body with two different types of wood and a curving joint, different inlay materials than I have used before, and a multi color stain. This episode covers the staining on the neck, fret polishing, and applying finish to both the body and the neck. The top is both Walnut and Zebrawood, the neck is 3 piece Pau Ferro, the rest of the body is Sapele, and the fretboard is Sabah Ebony. The pickups are the Devin Townsend signature set of Fishman Fluence pickups. Hardware: Shcaller Hardtail bridge, Hipshot locking tuners, nickel silver frets.
