Oris and Basel have a close relationship. The Swiss city is only 35km from our Hölstein factory, and since 1904, hundreds of Baslers have come to work here. So in 2001, when the city marked 500 years since it joined the Swiss Confederacy, we made a 500-piece limited edition to celebrate it. One of those watches went to Urs, who grew up in Basel.
