OsbornTramain's video: 1972 Plymouth Fury sports roof style Commercial - Police Car - With Arthur Godfrey SHORT VERSION

@1972 Plymouth Fury (sports roof style) Commercial - Police Car - With Arthur Godfrey (SHORT VERSION)
This is the 30 second version of the Plymouth 1972 Fury commercial featuring Arthur Godfrey promoting the fact that Plymouth were the most used police cars in the day. This had a lot to do with it's superior performance to to engine design, suspension design (torsion bars) and unit body construction. It was a very different animal than the Chevy Impala or the Ford Galaxie. this was an extremely good year for Plymouth and in the following year, 1973, it would be even better with Plymouth once again retaining the title of third best selling car in the USA behind Ford and Chevy. The big low price three again going head to head. Please note, this Plymouth Fury Coupe is the Sports Roof Style for 1972, (not formal roof). There were two roof styles for the 2 door hardtop in 1972. It's a one year only roof style. You may look at it and think it's the same as others you've seen but it's not, it's more rare. The quarter panel is different too. Note that this has the higher wheel opening, non skirt with a body line up and around the well that doesn't exist on the Formal Roof style. The rear window has a greater slope.
