Ov's video: Super Metroid Any in 41:32

Early Red Brinstar and some later Norfair execution sure sucked. Also that dip in the sand before Draygon, lol... but, not a whole lot to complain about otherwise; great RNG overall. Surprised this didn't take longer, surprised I didn't choke at some point after Botwoon, surprised I almost skipped 3x entirely. Around 150 completed Any% runs over the course of 7 months, albeit very few in December and February due to controller issues. It's probably easier to think of it as about 1 completed run a day for 5 months, from a 42:17 starting point. My priority during this entire grind was simply to complete runs. I tried to keep resetting to a minimum, doing so either out of "principle", or if the unfortunate happened in Tourian where there's not really another option. I felt that the easiest way to maintain and improve upon my performance in runs, was to complete said runs. Runs are also practice, and are actually the best kind of practice. In this game, if you're not completing runs, you're not experiencing the best practice, it's that simple.
