Adventure Outdoors's video: Winter Wild Camping Scotland - Glen Affric - Cairngorms - Amok Hammocks - Bushcraft - Storm Ciara

@Winter Wild Camping Scotland - Glen Affric - Cairngorms - Amok Hammocks - Bushcraft - Storm Ciara.
Join us as we head north for some wild camping fun in the Scottish Highlands. The weather wasn't looking great as you'd expect for February but we still managed a few good wild camps until storm Ciara began to vent her wrath at 2am on Friday night. We used the Amok hammocks with DD 3x3 tarps for shelter, both of us use the DD Jura II sleeping bags and Exped Synmat 7 (LW) sleeping mats - which are excellent. Cooking gear was the classic Trangia 25 set but with a GSI stainless steel kettle instead of the Trangia 25 aluminium one. A note on camp fires - I've removed a number of comments from this video regarding my campfire. There is no ban on campfires in the Cairngorms, all campfires must be carried out in accordance with the access code and it's good practice to remove all signs of your campfire. It is abundantly clear in the video that my campfire was carried out within the remit of the rights afforded to me and the responsibilities were also implemented. The fire was not on peat ground, there was no 'disposable bbq' involved, no forest fires were started etc. so please don't try and associate me with those few people who act irresponsibly and cause damage. Cheers!
