The Wanderlust Chronicles's video: The City By The Bay Great overnight road trip to San Francisco

Back in February 2014 we took a road trip to San Francisco. We were preparing to move back to the east coast from Modesto, CA and wanted to see the city before we left. We were not disappointed. Even though we were short on funds and time, we managed to see a lot of the things on the "must see in San Francisco" list. We had a stroll and a meal on Market Street the first night we were there and saw many of the upscale shops to include the Phelan Building. Dinner at a little jazz club just a block off Market was the highlight of our evening. A bit pricey but atmosphere screamed we had arrived in the golden gate city. The following day we toured the painted ladies, saw Haight Asbury district, followed street trolleys up and down those steep streets, watched a group performing Tai Chi next to a serene lake. We spent a good portion of time under the southern edge of the Golden Gate Bridge at Fort Point National Historic Site. The site was built for National security during the Civil War. After Fort Point, we mosey'd over to the Pier at Fisherman's Wharf where we walked up and down between Pier 43 and Pier 38 for a good portion of the day before embarking on a dinner cruise around the bay on the Red and White Line. After Dinner we walked around listening to bands that were playing along the boardwalks and around Fisherman's Wharf.
