Utilising ECCENTRICS (lowering phase of the movement /resisting gravity) in your training is a valuable progression if we're not strong enough for the CONCENTRIC (overcoming gravity) phase. By using parallettes it also helps challenge by balance control strategies creating a more robust handstand. Also keeping the wrist in neutral can be less demanding on the wrists.
