OwenDWF's video: Explosion FX Test

A quick explosion FX test on an unsuspecting Dalek Its taken along time for me to do this, but ive now acomplished an actual explosion without the need of real fire. The effect was created in Sony Vegas 8.0, which i have only just started to use. The explosion itself is some stock footage that is available to download at: http://www.detonationfilms.com/free_stuff_page_2.htm I made the black background transparent on the explosion, placing it infront of the Dalek. lasers were crated in paint and most of the sound effects are old bits of sound lying around on my computer. The head removal effect was created by borowing some old fishing rod wire. I filmed the head being pulled off, and added the final effetcs it after the editing was finished. The figures used are a Genesis Dalek from The Classic Dalek Collectors set and a Primeval figure [I dont watch the program.
