First find some cool water, Then find out if there's any aquatic bugs hatching. If not, have hope, terrestrials are always a valuable food source for trout, especially in the Summer. Ants, beetles, crickets, inch worms, spiders, hoppers, cicadas, all different colors and sizes give you a variety of patterns to try. Also, some terrestrials, being on the larger size, are perfect for the dry/dropper rig. Try to concentrate your fishing to the very early morning hours before the water starts to heat up and be off the water if temps get above 68 degrees.
